Purple Power Juice

Purple Power Juice

I put this together because I know what these ingredients do and I wanted all of that in one bottle. Purple cabbage, watermelon, Bartlett pears, fresh ginger, Persian cucumbers, and half a lime. Six things. One jar. Close to seven cups of the most vibrant, nutrient-dense juice I have made in a while.

That deep purple color is not a filter. That is anthocyanins from the cabbage doing exactly what it is supposed to do.

Purple cabbage fights inflammation, feeds your gut bacteria, and supports liver detox. Watermelon hydrates you at a cellular level and delivers lycopene for heart health. Pears support digestion and help your body absorb iron properly. Ginger is the fire in this recipe — anti-inflammatory, immune-supportive, and it moves everything through your gut that needs to move. Cucumber cools the body, supports your skin and joints, and adds a high water content that pairs beautifully with everything else. Lime brightens the whole blend and keeps that purple color vibrant.

I washed everything with a fruit and vegetable wash, chopped it all up, ran it through my Nama J cold-press juicer, double strained it into a Ball glass mason jar, and put it straight in the refrigerator. That is it.

Fresh cold-press juice keeps for two to three days in the refrigerator. It is alive, it is not pasteurized, and after that window the nutrients drop and food safety becomes a concern. Plan your batch accordingly.

If the flavor feels strong at first, cut it with a splash of coconut water. It softens the bitterness of the cabbage, adds electrolytes, and makes it easier to drink without changing what it is doing for your body.

This is Sip · Eat · Heal in a bottle. Know what you are putting in your body and make it something you actually want to drink.
