Nourish What You’re Building Weekly Astrology • October 12–18, 2026
Sip • Eat • Heal Journal
You can set an intention in a moment. Making room for it in your life takes practice.
After the October 10 New Moon in Libra, this week asks what balance looks like when it becomes something you actually do. A conversation you stop avoiding. A boundary you follow through on. A meal you sit down to enjoy. A plan that makes room for the person doing all the work—you.
Our theme is Nourish What You’re Building. Give your intentions enough attention, structure, and care to become part of everyday life.
Balance Begins with an Honest Review
The Sun continues through Libra while Venus, Libra’s ruler, remains retrograde in Scorpio. Within astrology, that combination invites a deeper look at relationships, pleasure, money, trust, and the exchanges we call fair.
Something can look peaceful on the outside while leaving you overextended. This is a useful week to ask whether an agreement still reflects what you need, whether a purchase serves you, or whether an old expectation has quietly become a burden.
You do not need to solve every relationship or make a dramatic announcement. Start by noticing what deserves a different response. Let reflection inform your choices without turning retrograde season into a reason to fear every decision.
October 15: Let Encouragement Become an Opening
The Libra Sun forms a sextile with Jupiter in Leo on Thursday, October 15. This is an astrological invitation to reconnect with generosity, creativity, and the courage to be seen.
Reach out to someone whose work you appreciate. Share an idea you have been keeping to yourself. Give an opportunity a thoughtful look. There can be room for enjoyment even while you are revising a larger plan.
Jupiter also symbolizes expansion, so keep enthusiasm connected to capacity. Before saying yes, ask: Do I have the time, resources, and interest to follow through?
October 15: Pluto Turns Direct—Reconsider Where You Give Your Power
Pluto stations direct in Aquarius on Thursday evening, October 15. In modern astrology, this emphasizes a longer process of transformation around community, technology, collective power, and belonging.
What have you learned about the groups you participate in, the systems you rely on, or the places where you have handed over too much authority? The invitation is to turn that awareness into a more deliberate choice. You can question an arrangement, change your level of involvement, or choose a community that better reflects your values.
Pluto’s shift can serve as a reminder to examine the difference between meaningful connection and belonging at the expense of yourself. Where are you participating because you feel aligned, and where are you staying because you are afraid to step away?
A station is a turning point in a larger cycle, not a promise that everything changes overnight. Let the shift unfold without forcing a dramatic ending or immediate reinvention.
October 16: Give Your Effort a Structure
On Friday, Mars in Leo forms a trine with retrograde Saturn in Aries. Symbolically, initiative meets discipline. This is a useful moment to give your creative energy a practical assignment.
Finish a manageable part of a project. Rework a schedule that asks too much of you. Practice a skill instead of expecting instant mastery. Because Saturn is retrograde, an old method may need adjusting before it can support your next step.
Consider what would help you keep showing up: fewer competing priorities, clearer expectations, or a smaller goal you can complete consistently.
The question is not how much you can force into one day. It is what you can repeat without exhausting yourself.
October 18: Put One Intention into Practice
Sunday’s First Quarter Moon in Capricorn squares the Libra Sun. The lunar cycle moves from planting an intention toward taking action, and the tension between Libra and Capricorn can highlight the difference between keeping everyone comfortable and meeting a real responsibility.
Choose one concrete step. Put the appointment on the calendar. Prepare the ingredients. Set the boundary around your time. Decide what you can reasonably complete—and what can wait.
If an intention from the Libra New Moon already feels difficult to maintain, use that information. Perhaps the goal needs a different structure, more support, or a more realistic pace.
Progress can be quiet. It still counts.
Libra Season: The Kidneys, Lower Back & Venusian Balance
In traditional medical astrology, Libra rules the kidneys and lumbar region of the lower back, bringing the body’s processes of filtration and balance into focus. Physiologically, the kidneys filter the blood, remove waste and excess fluid, and help regulate electrolytes and acid–base balance. This offers a meaningful connection to Libra’s scales: maintaining equilibrium through what the body retains and releases.
Venus, Libra’s ruler, is traditionally associated with sweetness, pleasure, nourishment, and the kidneys. Through a medical-astrology lens, Venusian themes invite us to examine our relationship with sugar, rich foods, comfort, and moderation. Sugar balance and weight can be subjects for that reflection, but neither can be determined from Venus’s placement or movement.
With Venus retrograde in Scorpio, this week’s invitation is to review your patterns around pleasure and nourishment. Are you enjoying sweetness intentionally? Are your meals satisfying, or are you moving through the day without eating and reaching for whatever is easiest later? Have concerns about weight crowded out a more compassionate relationship with your body?
Libra season also brings attention to the lower back: notice how you sit, how long you remain in one position, and whether your routine allows comfortable movement and rest.
The intention is to bring enjoyment and moderation into the same conversation. A comforting bowl, a thoughtfully sweetened drink, and time to eat without rushing can all belong at the table.
These traditional correspondences provide a framework for reflection; kidney function, blood sugar, and unexplained weight changes require medical assessment rather than interpretation from a chart.
This Week in the Sip • Eat • Heal Kitchen
I’m bringing that same intention into the kitchen with comforting bowls, bold seasonings, and ingredients I already have.
Bún bò Huế–Inspired Beef Noodle Bowl
My rendition begins with the beef rolls and seasonings I have on hand, built into a warming rice-noodle bowl. This is a home-kitchen interpretation inspired by the Vietnamese dish, with room to adjust the heat and garnishes to what is available.
Peanut Chicken Crunch Salad
Rotisserie chicken and peanut sauce make the starting point easy. Crisp vegetables bring texture, and a little warm water helps the sauce become a dressing that coats everything. It is a way to turn ingredients already in the kitchen into a satisfying meal.
Dried-Fruit & Nut Rice Pudding
No fresh fruit this week? The pantry still has something to offer. Dried cherries, blueberries, and apples bring sweetness and texture to creamy rice pudding, with chopped nuts for contrast. Vanilla and cardamom bring warmth to the bowl.
Savory Oats with a Jammy Egg & Chili Oil
Oatmeal can hold a savory breakfast just as beautifully as a sweet one. A soft, spoonable bowl, an egg, and a finishing drizzle of chili oil make a simple meal feel considered. It is comfort food with room for whatever savory toppings are on hand.
Cherry-Ginger Herbal Fizz
A brewed burdock or milk thistle tea base, cherry syrup, fresh ginger, frozen cherries, and sparkling water make a bright zero-proof sip. An optional splash of rum and a Bing cherry garnish turn it into a cocktail for those who choose it. Choose herbal ingredients appropriate for you; this drink is for enjoyment, without a promise of healing.
Salted Caramel Vanilla Nut Chicory Latte
Teeccino Vanilla Nut herbal coffee, salted caramel syrup, and warm frothed milk bring a little sweetness to the morning ritual. A light dusting of cinnamon finishes the cup.
The food connection is simple: give yourself something enjoyable and achievable. These dishes are a creative expression of the week’s theme, not treatments prescribed by planetary movements.

A Question to Carry Through the Week
What am I trying to grow, and how can I support it with what I already have?
Write down one thing to continue, one thing to simplify, and one thing to stop carrying alone. Then choose a small action that makes the answer visible.
There is room for warmth, flavor, and pleasure while you figure things out.
